The final concert was really amazing! The piano piece by Alvin Curran seemed to bring sounds out of the piano and the room that I would never have thought possible -- waves of resonance, pulsing, blues-inflected masses of vibration. Bruce Brubaker is a virtuoso for the 21st century. Wow!! In the Bussotti pieces he made sounds of such fragile delicacy -- it was as emotionally powerful as the Curran in a completely different way.
