Actually, BMOP performed Ballet Méchanique (or a version of it) in Symphony Hall in 2001 as part of the CyberArts Festival

Just a little surprised at the praise for the Varese. Yes it was all in place, but it was "moving" only in the sense of not static.

Ionization has great poetry, but delivering that poetry requires a far greater dynamic range (especially at the piano end) and some tension in the air.

This was humdrum, dutiful, unfelt.
