		<description>Respect and empathy for an estimable artist nearing the end of his career aside - I found Sir James&#039; playing effortful. There were missing notes and near breathless ends to much of the passage work. (It was the performance of the 22nd that is reviewed above and I attended on the 19th, so I allow that things may have gone differently.)</description>

		<description>I didn&#039;t attend this event, but a couple of years ago I did in fact hear Eugenia Zuckerman (late of the &quot;CBS Sunday Morning&quot; program that now resolutely REFUSES to cover classical music any more) just tear into the Ibert concerto almost as if it were a student exercise.  So I must take issue with any statement to the effect that it&#039;s hard to imagine anyone else equalling Galway in virtuosity.</description>
