		<description>Puccini is certainly partly to blame for the pallid, at times painful, performance on Thursday, but I was chagrined by the weakness of everything from the orchestra to the dancing. (A few afternoons at a Fred Murray studio seemed called for.) The two comic leads were the only ones who seemed to actually inhabit their roles.</description>
